Puma Soccer Shoes / Cleats
Football boots, called cleats or soccer shoes in North America, are an item of footwear worn when playing football. Those designed for grass pitches have studs on the outsole to aid grip.
Wing-Back
A position in football that is a versatile playing position that can play multiple roles on a play. A wing back can be a blocker, receiver and/or runner of reverses. The wingback is positioned one yard off the line of scrimmage and right outside the tight end.
Full-Back
The fullback: Protector of the halfback. When a team employs two running backs in the offensive backfield, the bigger of the two is usually called the fullback. He's there to block and clear the way for the halfback, who's the main ball carrier.
Center Back
A centre-back (also known as a central defender or centre-half) defends in the area directly in front of the goal, and tries to prevent opposing players, particularly centre-forwards, from scoring.
Sweeper or Libero
The sweeper (or libero) is a more versatile centre-back who "sweeps up" the ball if an opponent manages to breach the defensive line. This position is rather more fluid than that of other defenders who man-mark their designated opponents.
Soccer Ground
A football pitch (also known as a football field or soccer field) is the playing surface for the game of association football. Its dimensions and markings are defined by Law 1 of the Laws of the Game, "The Field of Play". The pitch is typically made of natural turf or artificial turf, although amateur and recreational teams often play on dirt fields. Artificial surfaces must be green in colour.
Defensive MidFielder
A midfielder is an association football position. Midfielders are generally positioned on the field between their team's defenders and forwards. Some midfielders play a disciplined defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are otherwise known as defensive midfielders. Others blur the boundaries, being more mobile and efficient in passing: they are commonly referred to as deep-lying midfielders, play-makers, box-to-box, or holding midfielders. The number of midfielders on a team and their assigned roles depends on the team's formation; the collective group of these players on the field is sometimes referred to as the midfield.
Central Midfielder
Central midfielders are the link between defense and attack. They literally strengthen the team in its core and are characterized by constantly being in position to receive and pass the ball. In addition to a number of defensive tasks, they lead the offensive gameplay after receiving the ball from the center backs.
Attacking Midfielder
An attacking midfielder is a midfield player who is positioned in an advanced midfield position, usually between central midfield and the team's forwards, and who has a primarily offensive role. ... A good attacking midfielder needs good passing abilities, vision, the ability to make long shots, and solid dribbling skills.
Winger
In football, a winger is an attacking midfielder in a wide position. Wingers are usually players of great pace or dribbling ability so as to provide cut-backs or crosses from which strikers can score. Their main function is to support attack from the wings. Wingers do lots of high-speed running from defence to attack.
Forward
Forwards are the players on a football (soccer) team who play nearest to the opposing team's goal, and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals. Their advanced position and limited defensive responsibilities mean forwards normally score more goals on behalf of their team than other players.
Striker
Like the centre-forward, the traditional role of a striker is to score goals; strikers are therefore known for their ability to peel off defenders and to run into space via the blind side of the defender and to receive the ball in a good goalscoring position, as typified by Ronaldo.
Goal-keeper
In many team sports which involve scoring goals, the goalkeeper (sometimes termed goaltender, netminder, goalie or keeper) is a designated player charged with directly preventing the opposing team from scoring by blocking or intercepting opposing shots on goal.
Shin guard
A shin guard or shin pad, is a piece of equipment worn on the front of a player's shin to protect it from injury. These are commonly used in sports including association football, baseball, ice hockey, field hockey, lacrosse, cricket, mountain bike trials, and other sports.
Socks Set
Your socks don't just cover your shin guards, but help keep them in place as well. You'll want a sock that is snug on your leg, but also not so tight that it cuts off your circulation. Pull your socks all the way up to make sure they're snug enough.
